Senior looks back on favorite class

When I first joined the newspaper staff, I had no idea how to write a news story. However, it wasn’t as difficult as I had expected it to be, and I got the hang of it quickly. I believe that my writing improved throughout the year because I learned how to include more concrete details. I loved writing stories for the newspaper, but I despised recording interviews because I found it to be awkward. For the first couple months in Mrs. Spragues classroom, I didn’t talk to anyone because of my shyness. Then there was this sophomore who randomly started making fun of me one day. We all know his name, Connor Jenkins. Before I knew it, I got the nickname “SOI girl”. This started a war between us. I soon became more outgoing with the rest of the newspaper staff and made many new friends throughout the year. I am going to miss the random class parties, Mrs. Sprague and Connor getting into arguments, and the inside jokes that were created in the classroom. Newspaper was by far my favorite class from my senior year, and I am thankful for all of the memories and friendships that were created.
