F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall,” and never have one’s words been so utterly brilliant. September twenty-third marks a new beginning for every individual. An utmost ambitious new way of life is promised as our summer tans finally fade and our warm wool sweaters make their first appearance of the season. Careless summertime state of minds begin to dwindle, and a newfound sense of rebirth is formed. Schedules begin to take off at full speed, and genuine character traits can be formally identified. Fall seems to bring everyone together; the season of renewal has a distinct authenticity about itself. Occasions such as homecoming, haunted houses, even a day dedicated to just giving thanks provide us with more than plenty of reasons to appreciate one another. We grow with those around us as we finally come to closure with sweet summertime. When the leaves start to change into wonderfully eye catching colors and fall from the surrounding trees, think of yourself. You are the tree, shedding off your old ways, and reinventing yourself for new ones. You now have the time to decide who you honestly are, or who you want to become before the time comes to re-bud for the upcoming year. So get cozy in your favorite fall sweater, invite someone to your Thanksgiving feast, and disguise yourself as someone jaw dropping for the spookiest night of the year. Get excited everyone, fall is finally here, and my eternal love for the season of rebirth is stronger than ever.
