On Sept.13th, the team competed in the Annual Arrow Invitational in Lavaca. The boys top ten were: sophomore Juan Gomez placing first with a time of 16:52, junior Jacob Crommett landing second with a time of 17:00, senior Tucker Skeleton finishing third with a time of 17:40, sophomore Samuel Burns sixth, with a time of 18:17, junior Austin Bosley seventh, with a time of 18:24, junior Raul Pena eighth, with a time of 18:39, Sophomore Ishmael Briseno ninth, with a time of 18:49, and sophomore Kelly Solomon tenth with a time of 18:55. Sophomore Carmen Roman was the only girl to place, and took fifth, with a time of 22:58. “This season has been really good. The guys have been working extremely hard, and the girls ran a higher mileage than normal this summer, which helps us condition for the season. We have a new race strategy and everything, so I think we’re all just excited to go see what we can do this season,” junior Sheridan Ellis said.
