Senior Summer Morgan lead the team with 12 points, though the team was having difficulties trying to leave the heritage War Eagles behind.
The Eagles stayed close throughout the first half, but Coach Sandy Wright pumped up her team to make the easy shots and concentrate a little harder. By the third quarter Har-Ber Wildcats were up by 17.
“We played really well as a team. We stared out slow but really took it to them at the end,” said senior Jessica Olson.
The Lady Wildcats scored 13 in the fourth quarter and finished the game 53-33. The 20-point victory ended the War Eagles’ season and gave the Cats a fourth place seed in the state tournament.
The team will next play West Memphis in the first round of the tournament, held in Cabot.
