On Saturday, Nov. 5 the school hosted Har-Ber Hoops, a basketball preview for schools that wanted to participate. It was a kickoff game to the season for second grade through high school.
Games started at 8:15 a.m. and the last game was at 4p.m. Both boys and girls on the Wildcats basketball teams helped ref the lower grade games throughout the day. Chicken dinners were for sale for $5. There were also a silent auction being held. People donated baskets for the auction and all proceeds went to the boy and girl booster clubs.
During the preview, also called the blue and white game, the teams scrimmaged against their own teammates. This helped them bond and prepare for the upcoming season.
“I’m really excited for the season, and Har-ber Hoops was a good way to help me practice for the upcoming season,” said sophomore Samantha Weber.
With the new season around the corner, the Wildcats continue to practice hard and prepare for victories.
