Fantasy Football has become a sports phenomenon over the past decade with intense 24/7 coverage of the sport, and fantasy is now more popular now than ever, even among high school students.
The idea of fantasy is quite simple. You draft your team of players, and each player’s preformance determines whether you beat your opponent or not. A win is based on how many points each player gets from his performance. The team with the best record at the end of the season is the team that wins the whole league.
Approximately 19 million people participate is fantasy every year. While there are individual leagues within the country, there is a national competition for the team with the most points. Any one of the 19 million people could win it.
“I have been playing for five years,” said sophomore Chandler Greetan. “Playing fantasy has helped me keep up with what is going on around the league.”
Greetan is currently leading his league and needs his defense to come up big next weekend.
