At the beginning of the season the Lady Wildcats had a rough start, but after every new game they continue to improve. The Sophomore, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Volleyball stars played Roger Mounties on Sept. 20. They played hard and came out with all wins.
The sophomore team has won all games this season. These sophomores play with courage and strength. The team continues to shine every time they serve the ball over the net.
“We played better last week, but we still came out with a great win,” said sophomore Sydney Breathitt.
The Junior Varsity team has won all conference games and continued to play with heart.
“I think that we didn’t start off the season as we could have but we have gotten much better,” said junior Tayleah Neal.
Har-Ber Varsity defeated Rogers High with three wins and one loss. During the varsity game senior Katie Huff was able to lead the Wildcats offense by finding holes in the Roger Mounties defense. Huff plays in an outside position. This position is usually the primary attackers on the team. These hitters attack balls that are set to the left side of the court.
This game was very exciting; the varsity team won their first two games and lost the third. During the fourth game the Lady Wildcats won 25-23. The senior team had a rough start at the beginning of the season but now after their first win last week their confidence is rising!
“I felt happy about our win last night. We gain more confidence each game. I expect us to be a threat to the other teams and win our upcoming games,” said senior Summer Morgan.
