Senior Trent Wallis began bowling with his family when he was little, and now it has become a little something more. Wallis got into bowling with the help of his dad.
“He told me it would be good for me,” Wallis said.
Now, Wallis bowls for Har-Ber. He enjoys being a part of the team and believes he is improving.
“I’ve progressively gotten better. I practice everyday,” said Wallis. “Sometimes I play against my dad, and he’s really good.”
Wallis has been a fan of bowling for a while and really enjoys it.
“I like hanging out with family and friends,” Wallis said. “You don’t hit people, you only practice two days each week, and this sport is based on your own score, and not on someone else.”
Wallis was very successful recently in the Dawn Hill Memorial Tournament in Hot Springs, where he finished 5th out of 150 competitors, and he won a $123 scholarship for his placing in the tournament. Wallis, who’s career high score is a 289, has a goal for this year.
“I want to finish conference well and go to state,”
And with Wallis’ determination and skill, he looks poised to be able to accomplish his goal for this season.
