Senior Kyle Mitchell peers down the lane as his ball strikes the pins. He pumps his fists in the air with excitement as all of the pins fall down, and he gets a strike.
Mitchell became intersted in bowling because his dad worked at a bowling alley. Mitchell, who has bowled a perfect game before, says he loves the sport.
“I like bowling because it requires experience and discipline to get good at it,” said Mitchell.
Bowling could also become a way for Mitchell to receive a scholarship to get in to college.
“I want to bowl in college at Wichita State,” said Mitchell.
The bowling team has a practice together once a week. Senior Madison Heim enjoys being on the team as much as Mitchell.
“It’s a fun experience, and you get to meet people from other schools,” said Heim.
Both Heim and Mitchell have their own bowling balls with Heim’s like a sunset, with red, orange, and yellow. Mitchell’s is red, black, blue, green, pink, and black.
