If you want to fly the confederate flag to show your heritage and the pride that you have in where you were born, there is nothing wrong with that. The south is known for its hospitality and traditional values, and although some people have forgotten this, others choose to keep this tradition going.

Back on topic, is it anyone’s place to tell someone that they cannot fly a certain flag? Is it right for me to tell one of my Mexican friends that he can’t fly the flag of his country? Are you going to tell a veteran that he can’t fly the flag of the branch of the military he served in?
No? Then why should anyone be able to tell a southerner that he can’t fly the confederate flag?
