As I walked through the halls seeing flyer after flyer for the Miss HBHS pageant, I wondered if I was the type of girl they were really looking for? Pageants have always caught my interest but I have never participated in one.
Obviously, I am not a size 2, and my wish is not for world peace. I know that is not possible. But, I decided, maybe just maybe, I am the type of girl that should compete in such a pageant.
As a Miss HBHS contestant, I do have a platform. If one wish of mine for the world could come true, it would be for everyone to have a higher moral standard. Whether I win or lose does not matter, but I can still be a role model for anyone who looks up to me.
As Miss HBHS, I would serve. I would love to be able to do things throughout the community, to meet new people, and to help others with whatever I possibly could.
Although I am focusing on winning the crown and title, I know this pageant will allow me to make new friends and will help to increase my self-confidence.
I would also like to prove to the world that whether you are a size 2 or a size 38, you can make a difference and you are beautiful.
