When students are finished with their last finals, the question on their mind is what they might get for Christmas. When you go to bed all you can think about is what you are going to get. When you wake, you see all your presents under the Christmas tree.
You don’t know what is under the wrapping, but when you are handed the presents you may have a strategy of how you open the present. When you rip the paper off you soon find out it is ugly Christmas clothes or an object that you don’t want or that you already have.
You put on the poker face and say that you love it and thank you, but really you want the receipt so that you can take it back and the true object of your desire.
Another idea that you use to get rid of the present is to re-gift your present and give it to a friend. After you may have sold or re-gifted your present, you don’t want the person to know. You can do the simplest thing to keep it a secret, just don’t talk about it. Time will pass and the friend or family member will forget. Even your parents can help you, because they usually take you to return the present.
When you receive a gift that you might not like, it is your right to take it back. After you un-wrap the present and the box had your name on it, the present becomes yours. You can do anything with the gift.
If you want, you can sell it and buy what ever you wish. If you slack off and do not get your friend anything, it is your decision to give it to a friend. Most people will forget about if you sold their gift.
Possibly next year they will get you something that you actually want. You can make this more logical if you send your Christmas list two or three weeks in advance to relatives, friends, and Santa. Hopefully next year you won’t have this problem and use helpful tips to stop this from happening.
