When it comes to Christmas, what better way to celebrate the holiday than watching one of these classics.
10. The Santa Claus- The story of a dad (Tim Allen) inheriting the role of Santa Claus. It’s learning the process of how Santa Claus does what he does, and who doesn’t love that?
9. Scrooged- It’s another variation of “A Christmas Carol.” It’s not exactly a Christmas classic, but it’s got Bill Murray, and I’m a big Bill Murray fan.
8. Home Alone- Everyone’s seen the movie about Kevin McCallister being left home alone while his family goes on vacation. It shows how lonely a loner-by-choice can be when you spend Christmas without loved ones.
7. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York- YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT. THE SEQUEL IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. It’s basically the same story as the first, but with a vibrant New York setting.
6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Everyone’s heard the story of the Grinch who lives in a cave in the mountains of Whoville. Whether it’s the animation, or the non-animation with Jim Carrey, both are great.
5. Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town- With Fred Astaire as the narrator, it’s the story of how Santa came to be! Who doesn’t love this movie??
4. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer- The song basically tells the story, but the movie is a classic clay-mation Christmas movie. I’ve never met someone who hasn’t seen it.
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas- Jack Skellington is the king of Halloweentown. When he discovers Christmas Town, he doesn’t understand it. It tells of the Christmas behavior of coexisting.
2. Elf- This is also not a classic, but it’s a warm-hearted comedy with Will Ferrell about an elf-raised human who tries to find his real father in New York City. THE BEST WAY TO SEND CHRISTMAS CHEER IS SINGING LOUD FOR ALL TO HEAR.
1. A Christmas Carol- The story of Ebenezer Scrooge being visited by the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. It’s certainly one of the most famous Christmas movies, and I watch it every Christmas Eve. And you should too.
