How is it that everyday we get our food in line on our own, but when we reach for a cookie, our hands are slapped away like flies.
I can’t comprehend the diffference between grabbing for a piece of pizza versus a cookie. All this process does is create more work for the cafeteria workers. As a freshman at Southwest, when I saw a cookie that I wanted, I grabbed it and no questions were asked.
But here, I have to personally ask for a cookie, elongating the already slow cafeteria lines. I’m pretty sure that most lunch ladies would rather us grab our own cookies ourselves too instead of having to get them for us.
Is it because we might steal them? It’s kind of hard to steal something when someone’s looking directly at you.
Why don’t we just make it easier on everyone and let the students get their cookies themselves.
