1) Allow yourself to take breaks: For every hour that you work, take a 15-minute break. Let yourself do what ever you want (check out the guy or girl sitting next to you, check your twitter, etc.) After the 15 minutes, start working again. This gives your brain a little rest and will help you be more focused when you are actually doing work.
2) Don’t just study alone: Studying with other people will help you improve what you learned because being with friends is more fun than being alone. While helping someone else, it could also help you learn new materials and possibly help you remember certain things.
3) Make Flash Cards: Making flash cards can be time consuming, but they are helpful tools in remembering vocabulary, key concepts, or formulas. They are easy to carry around, so you can study anytime you are free.
4) Quiz yourself: To make sure you are prepared for your exam, make a practice test to see how well you know the material. Write down a list of key words or questions and see if you capable of answering the questions. If not, well, keep studying.
5) Get enough sleep: Students who get enough sleep are more alert, more focused, and learn things easier than those who are sleep deprived.
6) Eat healthy and exercise: This seems like common sense but not many people understand how important it is to eat healthy snacks. Avoid sugar, which causes you to crash, and eat protein bars, healthy cereal, or fruits. Also, lightly exercising for 10 minutes makes you calmer and more focused.
