On Christmas Eve from 8 to 10 a.m. Har-Ber and Springdale High School students took the time and came together to have Breakfast with Santa. Family Career and Community Leaders of America members sold tickets to have breakfast with Santa at Applebee’s in Springdale in order to raise money for the state competition in Conway, Arkansas in March.
Har-Ber’s FCCLA raised a nearly $300 and sold all of their tickets.
“There were a lot more people than I expected,” said FCCLA president Carley Knipe, a senior.
FCCLA members served pancakes and bacon while Santa, Alternative Learning Center (ALE) principal Tim Weiss, and his elf, senior Alvaro Badillo, were off to the side so children to would be able to sit by Santa and get in their last Christmas requests before Christmas the next morning.
“I enjoyed doing the pancake breakfast and chilling with Santa because I love supporting FCCLA.” said senior Christina Herbert.
