Members of the Springdale Schools Maintenance Department added aluminum letters to the school’s sign located on the east perimeter of the property. The construction project was funded by a “special project budget,” said Jim Reed, master construction specialist.
The precast cement was poured for the foundation. Karl Keaton, the project’s brick mason, and Bill Kelley assisted in laying the brick, and fiberglass columns were added on each end.
“I think it’s a growth is a good thing for Springdale,” said Keaton.
The sign was designed by Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson.
“It’s exciting because we’ve needed one for years,” said assistant principal Aaron Harris.
