The smell of bacon and pancakes fill the halls of the E-wing as teachers come searching for a bite of the delicious breakfast that the members of the Future Farmers of America prepared for the teachers.
“The whole point of the FFA Breakfast for the teachers of Har-Ber is to get them to come and see what the FFA staff is doing and what the whole thing is about,” said Jim Hall, who is one of the sponsors of FFA.
The FFA traveled to Indianapolis to attend the FFA National Convention October 22-26.
“I enjoy serving the teachers. I just want them to know that they are very special to the student body, and we appreciate them very much for all the hard work that they’ve done,” said senior Dayanera Ward, who helped serve the teachers.
This breakfast has become a tradition for the FFA staff, and the teachers have always appreciated it.
“It makes me feel so proud that the students are willing to do this for us, and that they can come in so early in the morning and make a big breakfast that keeps me stuffed all morning long. Thank you so much FFA staff,” said medical teacher Joan Doege, who went to the breakfast with her work friends.
