“I find myself comparing a lot of things I do with photography,” said sophomore Abby Williams.
Williams has a love for photography. She has entered herself in a competition called Capture Arkansas sponsored by BedFord. This competition helps get unknown photographers works published.
“I entered this to show people my hobbies and what I love to do,” said Williams.
Capture Arkansas is all about the best of Arkansas. Photographers submit photos, and the community votes on the photos they like and editors choose the best. Top-rated photos and editors’ picks get published in real-world products and win prizes.
“When my grandma showed me the “Capture Arkansas” book I was amazed, and wanted my photos to be in there,” said Williams.
Williams got her first camera around the age of nine, and she quickly found a love for capturing events and making the memories last. Now at the age of sixteen she has been asked to take photos of friends, weddings, schools, proms, and family members.
“I started off just taking pictures of animals. Then once people saw what I could do, I got a lot of other offers to take different kinds of photo,” said Williams.
Voting for Abigail Williams’ photos is as easy as going to www.captureamerica.com and help her photos be the photo of the week!
