The actor Justin Timberlake is in his first leading role ever. Timberlake is known for great songs, but not for acting, until now.
In Time has a great theme. If you had time, would you waste it? Would you consider helping others even though time is running out?
The movie begins with a poor man named Will Salas working at a factory that pays little time to your life (99 seconds a hour). He lives in a run down community. Stealing of time runs rampant in the community. But, there is a twist. Will saves a rich man with tons of time. Then Will does not steal all of his time. The rich man gives it all away.
From there, Will goes on a epic adventure to foil the time system and establish equality. While he is on this adventure, he is falsely accused by police, attacked by robbers, and acquires a girlfriend that helps him bring down the very people who taught his girlfriend the ugly face of inequality.
Overall, the movie is pretty good. All of the scenes look very realistic. The characters do not over exaggerate moments of talking or the act of going through action scenes. Plus, the characters’ dialogue explains the dramatic story line.
In Time is playing at Razorback Theater. Adult ticket prices are running at $8.
The movies is rating PG-13 and is directed by writer Andrew Niccol.
