“Those Kinds of Things” premiered Oct. 2 and was the all-new season premier of the Showtime hit series “Dexter.” “Dexter” has been going strong for six seasons. The show started Oct 6, 2006 and ever since people have fallen in love with it. “Dexter” gives you that creepiness and drama that you want from that show. You’re always on the edge of your seat when watching it.
Michael Hall is the main freighting actor, and at points one could get seriously freaked out by him, and sometimes you feel bad for him. He’s a pretty cool guy who works for Miami metro in the forensics department as an amazingly great blood splatter analyst. At night he plays the role of a wonderful serial killer that kills criminals who have escaped the judicial system.
This opening season was mostly about Dexter’s 20th school year reunion and of him trying to find a good pre-school for his son Harrison. He wasn’t going for old good time memories. He actually hated high school where he was a no one, but really smart. The only girl he was a semi-friend with had a big hotshot football player boyfriend throughout high school, and they married soon after graduation. He had noticed that he was very aggressive with her and she had bruises on her arm in high school. He didn’t think much about it until he had found out about the suicide. Dexter noticed blood under her fingernails in the suicide picture, which meant she tried to fight back, so it wasn’t a suicide it was a murder! His plan was to go to the reunion and get a blood sample, but it didn’t work out so great.
This episode met all my expectations and it was everything I wanted from Dexter. It once again had me at the edge of my seat and it started off perfectly with a wonderful mystery that was resolved quickly, so they could start with the big mystery. I was also really happy that they kept the opening the same; everyone had doubts about them changing it. I know every Dexter fan is waiting for the next episode because they ended this one with a big cliffhanger.
For anyone who likes a good show I recommend you watch Dexter, even though it can get pretty gross and scary it’s very entertaining at the same time. Personally Dexter is probably one of my favorite shows
