The aroma of freshly cooked vegetables fills the air; the sound of sizzling sauces and various meats is heard about the establishment. HuHot, the new mongolian restaurant, opened in Fayetteville on Joyce Blvd.
On my journeys to HuHot, (I went three days in row), I found the food to be delectable! As I stepped up to the ingredients bar, I noticed all sorts of meat.
For seafood lovers, HuHot has crab, shrimp, and a variety of fish depending on the day of the week. They also provide a selection of chicken, beef, and pork. For all the vegetarians out there, HuHot even has tofu.
Next, I slid down to the next station and tried to make a decision from four different types of noodles. To add some flavor, I threw on a few fruits and vegetables ranging from the basic onion to the more tropical pineapple. I ladled on my sauces, (there are over 12 different ones!), onto my meat, noodles, and veggies, and the cooks threw the mixture onto the round grill. I watched with excitement as their cooking utensils flipped about the air while slicing and dicing the flavorful concoction.
After being fully grilled to perfection, the cook placed my meal onto a plate and handed me my mongolian beef. My first bite was incredible. The meal had the perfect amount of flavor, and I certainly picked a great sauce, “Burn Your Village BBQ.”
HuHot also provides a selection of appetizers and deserts. For an appetizer, a customer can add crab rangoon to their meal. The mongolian beef is all-you-can-eat, and if someone happens to pick a bad mixture, the waiter will simply take it away.
One of their more unique desserts is the s’mores. Sure everybody has tried good old fashioned campfire s’mores, but not everyone has had them for dinner with a “campfire” sitting upon their table. I decided to try this dessert and found it to be fun and tasty. I poked my chopstick through the marshmallow and waited for it to be toasted to a golden perfection over the campfire. When it was finally ready, I tore open my Hershey candy bar, cracked my graham cracker in half, and made myself a s’more.
It was just the right amount of sweetness to end a savory dinner at HuHot.
