“Fast Five,” the latest installment in the “Fast and the Furious” series hit theaters Friday, April 29.
The movie opened to sold out theaters across the country. As the fifth movie in the series “Fast Five” was expected to feature brilliant cars being driven by the best “bad” guys Hollywood can create. This film did not fall short of these expectations.
The setting for the film is in Rio De Janeiro. The Favelas provide an excellent backdrop to the continual action that the movie showcases. “Fast Five” starts with an action packed prison breakout and never slows down through the final scenes and into the credits.
The movie stars a superb cast that showcase the talents of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This is Johnson’s first appearance in the series and he did not disappoint. There is no word from director Justin Lin concerning a possible sixth film; however, viewers who sat through the first half of the credits saw a sneak peek that would convince anyone that plans for another film are in the works.
From the short clip shown viewers can infer that Johnson will return in an even larger roll in the future.
For any movie goers who have seen the previous films in this block busting series this film is a must see. The movie does not fail to grab and hold onto viewers attention. This film will have viewers asking for more.
