Wall Street is a famous street, which runs through lower Manhattan. Wall Street is also a major symbol of commerce and economy in the United States and is famous for its banks and financial institutions. But recently a major movement has begun to take place. This movement is known as the “Occupy Wall Street” movement.
This is a protest that has been going on for over a month now, and it has begun to spread across the United States and even across the world. Protesters are marching against greedy bankers, politicians, and governmental financial cuts. But more importantly they are protesting against the major gap between the rich and the poor.
I find this protest to be a pointless waste of effort. The government isn’t going to budge no matter how long protesters are marching. History has shown that protesters have been failures with the major exceptions.
Can they do it? I think maybe over time. But will they do it? I would say no.
The tax plan that is in place is set and stone. If you’re not making the money you need to be, then it’s your own fault, and you don’t need to be blaming the government or waging a protest on Wall Street.
People are wasting too much time marching and protesting on Wall Street when they would be better off working a job or finding a job. They would be doing themselves more good that way. The protest isn’t solving any problems. And I think it would be more effective if they just stopped.
