As a series of severe storms moved through the area on the night of Oct. 20. According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, one man in Benton County died after a tree fell on his home. The National Weather Service in Tulsa confirmed that a tornado moved through the Siloam Springs area as well.

The storms produced damage throughout Northwest Arkansas, and many power outages as well. The Democrat Gazette reported that thousands in the area were without power, and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport was without power for hours on Monday morning.

KNWA also reported that Rogers High School suffered damage. Parts of the roof on the main building were peeled off, and water damage,however was reported as well. The Siloam Springs tornado caused significant damage in many Siloam Springs subdivisions.  Springdale was spared from extreme damage, and area residents continue clean up efforts following the storms.
