American Horror Story uses a hotel scenery

A wonderful mix of blood and gore, American Horror Story Hotel season five includes a various mix of strange characters such as ghosts, demons, and more.

The latest season of American Horror Story was released onto Netflix at the beginning of October.

The scene is set in Los Angeles, California at the Hotel Cortez. The founder of the hotel, James Patrick March, played by Evan Peters, built the hotel for the sole purpose of murdering the guests. After March dies in the hotel, his ghost stays around to haunt the place, as well as anyone else who dies on the hotel’s grounds.

Recently, the hotel has been purchased by Will Drake, played by Cheyenne Jackson, a fashion designer from New York. He sure does not know what he is in for when he agrees to marry The Countess, played by Lady Gaga. The Countess is the former owner of the hotel who also holds the title of a “vampire” – she has contracted a disease where she only drinks blood and has been granted with everlasting life and no aging. She is a beautiful, but very manipulative woman who has been alive for about a century.

Another major character is detective John Lowe, played by Wes Bentley. Lowe forms relationships with each of the diverse characters who reside at Hotel Cortez. He is tied to the hotel in a number of ways, some of which he is not even aware of.

The plot of the fifth season is focused on John being drawn to the hotel due to a series of murders, based around the Ten Commandments, and past events in his life relating to The Countess and the hotel. In addition to the Ten Commandments killer, are the abundance of murders in the hotel that leave out no detail of gore and blood.

As season five of American Horror Story Hotel progresses, we get a peek into the pasts of all the major characters, included the ones aforementioned, and others such a receptionist who goes by Liz Taylor, another hotel resident known as Sally, and more.

American Horror Story Hotel is a great thriller with an abundance of plot twists. It always leaves you wanting more. I highly suggest watching it, if you can stomach it.
