As I stepped foot into my favorite coffee lab in Bentonville for the very first time, I was struck by the original scenery, and I immediately became a fan because they had my favorite album, An Awesome Wave, playing on repeat.

Do not be misinformed- you do not have to be a coffee lover to take a trip to Onyx Coffee Lab in Bentonville. They have a wide variety of options to choose from that invite you into their aesthetic scenery and nifty atmosphere. A perfect environment for studying or drinking coffee, a smoothie, or snacking on a colorful macaroon, Bentonville Onyx is worth the drive.

Right as you walk up the doors, a large representation of the logo, a skull, greets you. When I first walked into the lab in Bentonville, I was immediately drawn to the atmosphere, specifically the electric “Onyx Coffee Lab” sign hanging directly on the back wall. The bar in the center of the room displays the baristas at work, mixing ingredients. The architecture is very unique; the ceiling uses wooden pieces hanging down with lights intertwined between them. A section of the back wall has been painted in a distinctive design that attracted my eyes. On top of this, there are many places to hang out. You can sit at the bar and observe the entertainment of the baristas, you can sit on one of the comfy couches, or on stools along the front window. The room is also decorated with cute, photographable plants.

As far as the menu goes, there is an abundance of options to choose from. A selection of various types of coffee fill two pages with smoothies and tea woven in. Also, at the bar, a glass case displays delicious options of macaroons, brownies, and other tasteful dishes. I personally enjoy indulging on the lavender macaroons and white chocolate truffles.

The baristas decorated in tattoos and piercings portray the hipster ambience and make me feel like I am in the right place. If you are in the mood for a coffee break, or even just a place to study with a pleasing aura, Onyx Bentonville Lab is a fine choice.
