Millions of screaming girls everywhere and loud music could only mean one thing. Justin Bieber. The still rising musician managed to sell out Madison Square Gardens in 22 minutes. Although impressive, the 17-year-old couldn’t be more aggravating.
Many young girls scream when they hear his name or see a poster of him, making him a national role model. I however, do not see him this way. First off, I cannot stand his voice. Yes, he can sing well and hit some high notes, but when he does, he sounds like a 13-year-old girl. When a song comes on the radio, I can’t tell whether or not a guy or a girl is singing the song. I wouldn’t want my kids looking up to that.
The next reason why I don’t consider Justin Bieber a role model is because all of his songs are about the same subject matter. The only thing his songs are about is girls and romance. I think artists should have some variety in their music and branch out a little.
Making a movie about a 17-year-old’s life is not very smart. Again, he is only 17, and besides being crowded by a bunch of girls everyday, what else does he do? In my eyes, a role model should have a little bit more to show for his work besides a few songs.
The most recent Bieber controversy flared up after a fan said that Justin was the father of her baby. She sued for a paternity test, and Bieber agreed. As of now, the nation is awaiting the results. With a bunch of little kids looking up to him, he shouldn’t have even put himself in a situation for this problem to arise. A real role model would have more to show for the years of his work, and his morality should not even be being questioned. Justin Bieber is not a good role model, if one at all.
