Sunday, February 13, a red and white Cessna crashed on the Jones Center lawn.
According to NWAonline.com, Lynn Lunsford, spokesman for the FAA said that the passenger of the Cessna reported having engine trouble before the crash. Lunsford believes the men may have been flying in from Siloam Springs.
Channel 40/29 reported that Springdale police identified the pilot as 53 year old Barry Gilbow, and the passenger as 46 year old Shane Crawford.
The seriousness of the crash can be seen by examining the wreckage of the plane. However, miraculously, both men were released from the hospital Monday with only minor injuries.
