Fans have anticipated the long five month wait to watch the suspenseful show take place. The Walking Dead has finally returned with the sixth season.

Rick Grimes, the main character in this apocalyptic world, is a cop who has just woken up from a coma and is trying to survive amongst the dead. Surviving in a world where no one can be trusted. To either kill or be killed. To start watching,The Walking Dead airs on AMC every Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

“I believe this season will be better because they have shown new ideas in the last two episodes and I think Rick is finally getting his mojo back,” said junior Alexis Lee.

Rick and the group have had a rough travel through Terminus and to where season five ended at Alexandria. Over the course of Rick’s journey, there are many conflicts with the dead, and even the living. The living have become more corrupt than before, killing others and relying on cannibalism as a source of food. The new start in Alexandria for Rick and his group has fans dying for more.

I think season six of The Walking Dead will be successful because since Rick has established himself as the new leader of Alexandria. People will want to see how he handles the responsibility and how the town will survive under the pressures of zombies and the wolf pack,” said senior Riley Luper.

A recurring character of the show, Morgan Jones, has fans shocked, for he was a character from the first season who helped Rick from the start. Around season three, Rick found Morgan, but Morgan was not the same as before. Morgan lost his wife and son through the apocalypse, causing him to go insane. Rick tried to bring him along to the prison he settled in, but Morgan refused and stayed in the abandoned apartments.

Fans see season five as an awakening to Morgan and Rick’s friendship. Morgan’s change in viewpoint conflicts with Rick’s.

“So far I think the season is great. I love how they incorporated new people and a lot of walkers in this season. I predict that the town will eventually be overrun and they will lose everything, just like before,” said Lee. “I don’t have high expectations but I just hope it will be better than the last season.”
