Hacking is the anti-thesis to technological censorship and security of information. Hacking can be done in many different ways through many different forms.
Of course, there are many obvious reasons to believe that hacking is bad, but there are also reasons, frequently unknown, that explain why hacking is actually good.
People who can hack well, and are good people, typically take jobs where they can help make security even better for any places that stores information.
Hacking can not only be done by people who have good intentions, but by people who want to give out information that is supposed to remain confidential.
A user on the website 4Chan that was able to hack into the iCloud software that Apple has created to help store music, pictures, and more.
This user was able to hack into the iCloud accounts of celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Justice, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Kaley Cuoco and more, and leak very confidential photographs of the aforementioned women.
Of course, this is the more negative side to hacking, where someone is able to take information that you may want to keep private, and share it with everyone who is connected to the online world of the world wide web.
Now, as previously stated, hacking can, in fact, be a good thing. Edward Snowden is one of the good hackers. He leaked information to United States citizens that affected them in an extreme way.
He was able to leak this information without revealing anything about the algorithms that the N.S.A. uses, the groups or individuals that the agency targets, or the identities of U.S. agents.
He didn’t reveal the contents of any U.S. military plans or of any conversations between U.S. or foreign officials. Snowden shows the good side of hacking here because he was able to find all of this information and leak it without actually hurting anyone in any way, shape or form.
So, I believe that hacking is a wonderful thing. Of course, hacking definitely has it’s bad side, but what doesn’t have a negative side to it? Almost everything has at least a minor negative effect, but I feel that the negative effects of hacking outweigh the greatness of it. Hacking is such a good thing because it’s such a complicated process that only certain people can actually succeed at it. Hacking takes such a specific skill level of such specific skills that it is able to help people get jobs or opportunities where they are able to help a person or people create something that prevents hackers from being able to do hacking in a negative way. Some hackers are able to stop other hackers from hacking or keep hackers hacking in a positive way only, which is why hacking is actually a good thing.
