One Republic released their new album on March 26, 2013. You can find the album in stores and on iTunes. They have had a reputation on writing and producing good music with the top hit “Apologize”, “Stop and Stare”, and “Secrets.” This album is no different as they continue to create chart-topping hits.
Their new album, “Native”, has a great blend of fast paced songs along with the slower pace songs. It has 12 songs and if you buy the deluxe version it has 17 songs on the album. With the deluxe version of the “Native” album you receive two extra bonus songs, and three of their songs played acoustically.
One song on the “Native” album that particularly stood out to me was “Feel Again.” It has the blend of fast and slow parts of the song. Good lyrics always make a song and this one is no different. It is not too repetitive with the lyrics like most pop songs in the 2012-2013 era.
The song “What You Wanted” builds up to a fast paced song. It is a little more repetitive but not too annoying to listen to. I like how it builds and then comes back down to a calm steady pace. The beat in the song is really catchy. It will make you want to tap your toe throughout the song’s entirety.
For the deluxe version of the album I would spend the extra money. I like to have the two extra songs and the acoustic versions of the three songs. If you are the plain/cheap person then get the regular album. Over all they have constructed the album very well and balanced the fast and slow songs well. They also give you a lot for your buck. 12 songs for $10.99 but for $13.99 you get five more songs. This is a must have album and you should pay the extra to receive the bonus songs.
