Even if you are not a fan of Taylor Swift, you will fall in love with her latest single “Ronan.”
Swift released “Ronan” Sept. 7 with all the proceeds going to cancer charities via the Taylor Swift Charitable Fund.
This soft ballad is about a little boy named Ronan who passed away from cancer one year ago and is cowritten with Ronan’s mother, Maya Thompson. Swift found out about this little boy after reading Thompson’s blog.
Swift and Thompson made this song extremely emotional by adding lines about Ronan’s life like his bare feet running down the hallway and his race cars on the kitchen floor.
Set to a sad guitar lead beat, this song makes you cry the first time hearing it, and you feel for the family every time after. Swift did an amazing job at filling such a depressing song with love and personality.
